Alzheimer's Reading Room

I hope you like the new look on the Alzheimer's Reading Room website.

You will notice that the comments box is now at the bottom of the article. This should make it easier for everyone to comment.

If you go to disqus.com and set up a profile your comment will also include your picture. You can also log in if you have a Twitter or Facebook account and accomplish this. It is always nice to associate a face with the comment.

You will also notice a new thumbs up (Like) and thumbs down button at the top of the comments box. You can use this bottom to let us know if you like the article. If you get in the habit of using that button, we can get a better understanding of the "kinds" of articles you want to see. We can use the feedback to make the content more friendly to user appetites. You do not have to comment to use that button.

You will also notice a new button that says "Subscribe by email" at the bottom of the comments box. This allows you to to receive new comments for a single article. If you comment and someone replies to your comment you will receive the comment via email. You will also receive all new comments for that article. Try it and see if it works well for you.

I want to encourage each of you to use the Share/Save button at the top of every article. The share button is very easy to use. You can easily email an article to family, friends, or support group members. You can also send the links for the article to Twitter, Facebook, Google Buzz, and about 50 other social media sites through a single click. I want to encourage each of you to try and Share at least once a week. You can "spread the word" about the Alzheimer's Reading Room by using that button.

Please use the comments section to let me know what you think about the new website template and to give us additional feedback.

Thanks.
