Previously, I asked for information and advice about wheelchairs. If you think you can help, please use the comments box below this article -- Wheelchair Advice, Insight, and Help

After reading that article I am sure many people are wondering -- What is up with Dotty?

Dotty is not doing well. In fact, she is doing very poorly right now. Out of the clear blue sky she refused to get out of bed on Wednesday morning. She is sleeping all the time and doesn't want to eat or drink.

For those of you that feel like you are going crazy when you get the same repetitive question over and over, "watch out what your wish for."

My little Dotty has not said "I am hungry, I'm starving" since Tuesday. In fact, she didn't even say I'm hungry.

It has been a real challenge getting her to drink a few sips of water or juice. Dotty, one of the worlds biggest coffee drinkers, has not had any coffee since Tuesday.

Her eyes are sleepy, she looks like she had a major concussion. She is "not there" right now.

All Dotty wants to do is lay in bed and sleep.

Today, I had to put Dotty in a wheelchair to get her to the doctor's office. The only other time that Dotty has ever been in a wheelchair was in the airport. I had to get the chair in order to get her to the gate for a flight.

As some of you know, we had to get a new personal care physician last July due to the untimely death of our wonderful doctor, Dr Carlos Chiriboga.

Well guess what? Our new doctor is excellent. She bent right down and talked to Dotty today. Right to her. Looked her right in the eye. Gave her a thorough work over and then determined the course of action.

The tests have started. They will continue tomorrow. When we know something we will take the appropriate action.

One thing I did do today was use the pee collector. Before we left for the doctor's office, I had Dotty pee in the collector, and then I poured the pee into the cup and put the lid on. This really helps when you get to the doctor's office. No bladder infection and no dehydration.

I really can't say much more right now. Either way, I'll let ya know.
